Handmade and individually decorated pottery by Bali Edwards

I have had a basic training in throwing pots at Malden Centre, Surrey. I mainly work with stoneware and earthenware clays. I make individually decorated pieces for the home as well as exhibition. These include delicate centre pieces for an eye capturing living room, or dining table. I enjoy decorating pieces using colourful underglazes which hopefully enhances the piece. I am inspired by nature, animals, ethnic art and crafts, geometric designs and the colours of Impressionists. I like to use vibrant colours. The majority of my pieces are thrown on the wheel but some are made using press moulds. I then use a variety of glazes which create decorative and innovative details and give my works their distinctive finish. The final key feature of my work is the colourful decoration that is derived from my love of nature and vibrant colours.
